    Of course you can.  Washing the carrots first is a good idea.  Also, if the little roots bother you, you can peel them.

    Upppp, I was going to point that out!

    If they have little roots all over them , they have been in the ground for a while. Still good, but maybe not as tender. . If you ever grow carrots in your garden ,you will be surprized how much tastier they are fresh out of the ground!
