    My boss leaves his spouse to move in w/ his gf.... should I wait to ask for my raise?

    and should I give him, if asked, the same job description profile I typed last year??? Nay, yah... What say ye?

      Ask your boss for the raise. You should leave his personal life to him. About your job profile? does the boss know what you do at work or does he want you to self-evaluate?

        You are right; I've been thinking same. I think he knows what my job entails are; guess he just wants to make it hard for the employees to approach him for a raise

        I was once asked to fill out my own evaluation! I was very hard on myself. Then the boss showed me her evaluation. I have perfect attendance at work. She did not give me the highest rating for that. "Why?" I asked She said "No one is perfect" I don't work there any more. Good Luck with your raise!

        Strike while the iron is hot, he is too busy being unfaithful to his wife to worry about how much you ask for. He has also not considered alimony payments yet. Once he gets legal advise on payouts be could easily cut back on your salary raise.

          Thank you, was an administrator at one time, eons ago, and it went against my grain to tell all the staff members to put in their pay rise requests because the bosses were being unfaithful :) They would have got rich! :).

            ^ Clue, more than confused... anyhow I was only trying to be more considereated employee since the boss goes through such an emotional/marital/infidelity roller-coasters as we (speak), if it be appropriate or not to bring up the yearly evaluation (been w/ this company for 3 yrs and got only 1 eval so far)
