Life can definitely feel hard. When connected to narcissistic abuse it feels agonising, victimised and anguished. It is like all of our worst nightmares have come to bear.

Yes. All very true!  Do you have a question? How can we help you?

In an effort to understand this not uncommon dilemma please read Thomas Moores' book titled "Care Of The Soul".He explains how narcissists are often raised by a narcissistic care-giver...how it resembles autism...the failure factor that is involved where-in they tend to fail at role-playing or modeling...incapable of empathic emotion...the hurt it causes to especially those who love them. This is a must-read in this dire-sounding situation.Peace.

This is very sad. Narcissists are raised with conditional love. That means they were only loved if they made the honor role, cleaned theire room, exelled in sports or whatever theire parents expected them to do. They were not loved for who they were as a person. That leads them not to love themselves and most times cant love another person unconditionally. If you are in a situation with someone like that, I would suggest you move on, unless he or she gets some help.
