What breed of dog looks very similar to a short-haired black labrador retreiver with a slightly narrower forehead?
Looking at the face of the dog, it seems like the skull slopes on the sides starting at the eye sockets more than I recall a labrador retreiver's head does. It's quite possible the dog might be a mix of things, as it is one that we rescued, until or if someone claims it. That's why I don't really know that much about the dog, other than it is an extremely intelligent and well mannered animal.

Does he have a long tail and wiggle all over when he gets excited? Could be case of amnesia!
This dude only looks like a dog. Mongrual. The dog you describe sounds unique. I'd be curious to know what it is also.
