I'm not sure what you have tried but here are some ideas...Police in the last place you know he lived.  Contacting ANY known relatives or friends he had. Realizing that, after 60 years, he may not want to be "found" and quite literally could be anywhere in the world, if (God bless his soul) he is still alive.

Anger is a part of the grief process.

May God bring you to Peace about this if you cannot find him.
