    Jefferson Nickel coin values aren't very much unless they are in practically uncirculated condition (AU-50, About Uncirculated).  However, in the interest of satisfying the person who has been collecting  them from circulation, or run across a stash somewhere, I offer the following table of Jefferson Nickel Values for nickels in EF-40 condition (depicted above.)  To qualify for EF-40, the coin should still have clear lines in the hair, the eyebrow should be clearly defined, and the cheekbone should have only slight wear.  On the reverse, you should be able to make out the base of the triangle below the dome.  Keep in mind that these values are mainly guidelines to help you determine if you have rare coins. To get today's current market prices, you should contact a coin dealer.
