You know dunc that's an excellent question & I appreciate it.  I think i am deep because my dad always presented us kids with great lectures and great philosophical statements.  i marvelled at him and wished i could grow up and even be able to hold a conversation with him.  As i mentioned earlier he is the greatest man i ever met.  Now i was a poor reader as a youngster.  After high school i decided to reteach myself how to read and write, plus i took classes.  I became a great and fast reader and can read a book in an hour and i do read many books.  Plus i am very curious about many topics and have studied several disciplines.  I love light thinkers and I love deep thinkers.  I love non thinkers and all thinkers.  I believe I have a great appreciation for life and i know life is short.  My sister was a wealthy woman and she died last year of cancer.  She had 4 houses and all kind of money in the bank.  She left a multi six figure insurance policy. She always stated that she did not want to die.  She felt she was too young to die.  She felt she had too much to do in life to die.  But she did die.  I think I am deep in a way because I want to enjoy and experience as much as I can before I leave here too.  And from what i have seen, death and circumstances can change your life on a dime.  So i may be deep about stuff.  i think its partly my curious brain, plus its fun.  And plus I love going around and talking to people that are smart and smarter than me.  Now, that's really everybody.  Reason because all of us know something that the other one does not know.  So we are all really smart about something.  One more thing.  A lot of our discoveries in science, medicine and lights, airplanes, facebook and more came from deep thinkers.

Please do not forget that one of our colleagues is running for the White House and most of the commentators give him a good chance. That speaks volumes for the usa.
