Yes, my boyfriend was turning 18 and was having a big birthday party. He was very rich (well his parents were) and he lived in a mansion. well i was only 15 so i obviously didnt have much money for a present so i asked my mum if she could help, she was only on a pension and couldnt do much so she took me to K-mart to see what we could do. She end up telling me that we could only get something for around $10, well didnt i carry on about that, so she said "alright, 15 then. I end up finding a little deodorant pack - a brand you'd never heard of, for $12 and i bought a card for a dollar. (Keep in mind that this is an 18th birthday) so at his party infront of all his rich family and friends he opened up this stupid little present and it was placed on a table with all of his other presents amongst a rolex watch, expensive colognes, good clothes , jewellery, phones, cards with hundreds of dollars in them, expensive alcohols, and more that i cant remember. I stared at my gift sitting on that table all night and cringed when people asked him who got him my present. It really was so embarrasing and i think we broke up a few days after that, i wonder if it was because he got turned off me.
