    Why does my gas gauge peg to full when the key is turned on 1949 chevy pickuo 3100

    Just started working on truck. It has been converted to 12 volt, but i have put a voltage reducer on the gas gauge but it still goes to full

      Maybe the float is sticking. Have you checked the in tank assembly?
