    my cedar tree is turning yellow, then brown and am sure it is dying. does anyone out there know what is causing this?

    It is probably dead by now, if not, do not worry, it was nothing!   Conifers do shed needles, just not all at once, so this may have been what was going on, also, when in dire danger, they will do a large needle drop, in hope to save the tree by lessening the demands on the tree.
