What makes you think they turned black? Did it ever occur to any of you that they might have started out that way and that when some of them migrated to Europe their skin color, their hair texture, etc. might have undergone a genetic mutation as a result?
    Papitou

Correct, that is what happened, as far as I have read. Fair skin is a mutation that helped people adapt to the lack of sunlight in some regions of the planet.

Nonsense! Look at black folks palms and soles. Those are the areas that receive the least sunlight. I'm sticking with my sun theory. :stanley:
    Ms Sinclair

It's not nonsense simply because it doesn't jibe with whatever racial views you have. And how does that negate what I said anyway? If they moved to the desert where did they move to the desert from? The oldest human remains were found in Africa. Since Africa is hotter than Europe any fair complexioned baby born there would have suffered under it's strong sunlight. That's not nonsense. It's science.
Clearly, some of Adam and Eve's products of incest decided it was a good idea to move to the desert. Despite lack of food and water, they colonized what is now known as Africa.

You stay out in the desert long enough, you'll turn black too.
I AM CAUCASIAN and I believe that Ms Sinclair has the correct answer "White" is an evolutionary mutation not the other way around
no where in the bible it says that(cain & able) they were not created black, so who's to to say that whites came from black people, but perhaps after the fall of the tower of babylon, men were divided into differant languages maybe color as well
Cain, killed his brother Able and the Lord said, Genesis 4:12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”

13 Cain said to the LORD, “My punishment is more than I can bear. 14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”

15 But the LORD said to him, “Not so, anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. 16 So Cain went out from the LORD’s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

Now, I don't know this as fact, but who is to say that mark wasn't blackness?
    Headless Man

And it could be the reverse also, but the blacks has seemed to suffered the most.
    FreedomFighter

Randy, have you ever wondered why Cain said that whoever found him would kill him?
    Headless Man

Because he knew he had done wrong and should pay with his life. jmo
ALL people eveolved from a few black decendents a long time ago, evolution.
    ok?
    the .....o hell...nevermind!!!
The root word for Adam means "Ruddy" or "Red". So he was already dark skinned.
    Who said He did?
