I have heard that it does but take calcium if not start eating cheese and drink milk

    I would think so ,

I always heard it does because its made of hooves.  gelatin

yogurt is far better. I do not know why. I could never grow nails. My doctor told me to eat yogurt for other reasons. My nails are hard and very long. Who knew?

I don't know, but there's so much sugar (or artificial sweetener) in Jello anymore, it might behoove you to just purchase unflavored gelatin and just add some natural juice to it instead of water.

You are right,of course. I am a Type I diabetic and jello really does a number on me. It's just so good every now and then...
