    I think you may have an imbalance of minerals.  But in the meantime, you may push your instep down on the edge of something like the bottom rung of a chair, or the edge of a stair, and push and hold, the leg cramp will "release" in a few seconds as you hold the push there. 

    Eat bananas daily, no kidding. This works for me (potassium)......

    Potassium is a great help but suggesting someone eat more bananas is inferring that you've made a diagnosis. To much potassium will damage ones heart. This person should seek advice from a physician.
