According to the Chinese Media, a mother bear killed her cub before eventually killing herself., apparently in an attempt to save her baby from life of pain and suffering on a bile farm in china.
Reports claim the mother bear heard the cubs cries while workers attempted to puncture the stomach of the creature to harvest bile, which is believed to have healing properties.
The enraged mother bear broke free from the cage causing the workers to scatter in fear. She then made her way to her frightened cub and proceeded to make a futile attempt to free the scared animal
After efforts to free her offspring failed, she hugged her cub before strangling it to death. Witnesses allege the mother bear dropped her dead cub before killing herself by running into a wall headfirst.

Thanks Ann this auful and yes I have daily reports from Peta about all this in china, some of the stuff they say is unbearalble for me to read sometimes and I cannot watch it either as it stays with me for days, I would like to point out that say animals are dumb well this poor Mother Bear ws not Dumb was she I have said a preyer for her and her cub God will look after them now I sometimes think most of th Human Race are SCUM !

This story is so sad. But there are many more stories about China and Animal Cruelties. I wish we could stop that somehow.

Hello Ann,could you or mel give me the email address that you are talking about,i always remember what they did to the bears where they were chained up and made dance for the public,i have terable issues with animal cruelty it is part and parcel of my deppression,i have even sought help for it.And lately i don't know if you have seen what happens to our cattle that we export over to indonesia from Australia,they are treated in the most brutal manner.These images will never leave my mind i try and avoid watching or hearing anything about animal cruelty but it always reaches me some how,even when i read your post i thought oh no,not again,but the more people aware of this goings ons the better.
