Do you want him to sincerely like you and be your friend/boyfriend, or do you want him to think you are hot and lust after you?

Sincerely like you:  be clean and don't dress in clothes that show your underthings (especially a thong....gross, gross, gross).  Don't be a smartass in or out of class, be respectful of EVERYONE. Get involved in stuff at school  (teams, clubs, leadership, drama, music, etc.) and in your community (volunteer work at the animal shelter?).  Do your best in all your classes and DON'T act like you are better than ANYONE else, scholastically, socially, or economically.  Never, never, never cuss (so cheap and stupid), and, if you have faith, attend your church and check out being part of the youth group.

Be a nice person, don't draw attention to yourself in negative ways, and ALWAYS have a happy word and killer smile when he's around.

I know that all sounds b-o-r-i-n-g. But, if he doesn't like you, at the very least, you are making a great school resume for yourself, which you will need when it's time to apply to colleges and universities!

Wishing you happiness and the right guy!  Respect yourself above all!

You should want a guy to like you cuz you're good at math or English, not your body when you're only 13.  Don't worry, boys are a dime a dozen.

in my sad little world, the men I meet tend to be worth slightly less! Yikes

You sound like you're altogether now and in one piece...must be wisdom you have attained over the years.

I wish. Thank you, though. It's really nice to have this forum to interact with everyone here. I'm not very together at all, but optimistic. :D

People in this forum are not the smartest in the world but when they all agree on a subject, it usually is right and can be helpful. Except on the subject of religion, group thinking can be extremely powerful. I hope you'll stay with us a while.

It just occurred to me that you didn't mention making friends with girls!  Is it easy for you to make new friends?  Do you think girls will welcome you into their cliques? Might they be jealous of you for any reason (other than a new girl who is pretty is going to be competition)?  What's your thinking on have girls for friends at your new school?
