I hope you are thinking twice about the types of jokes you post here. I understand to you it was simply a joke about a name but to someone who is Chinese, it is a joke that can be viewed as an ethnic insult based on stereotypical profiling. I appreciate your understanding in this matter.

I did and it does not warrant the many comments you've made. You should have reported the question when you took offense to it. He has explained that it's a joke concerning a name. If you do not agree that it was just a joke about a name, then send to the admins and ask them if they can pull the question. 1967's question did not name you so whatever you think his intent was, it was not a direct insult on you. You've made it personal by directly insulting him 3 times now.
go read the comment made by Benchong. I read it the way it was meant to be. No ambiguity there.
I personally do not but another vote within this forum was that racists jokes fell under the freedom of speech rule. The admins back the freedom of speech rule.
I can understand how you feel as I have to deal with seeing slurs and jokes about my life here also. Would you feel better about it all if I just remove his question? I will do that if you want.
That's what I've told the admin to do with any derogatory comments people make about me and/or my life too. I prefer to have people see how ignorant comments and jokes do hurt others. I need you to understand also that even though I'm a moderator, my hands are tied at times because the freedom of speech line the administrators have is further out than my own. This is the difficult part of moderating. I have to follow their guidelines.

I believe he's learned his lesson and also think that is the question he wants removed. If it is, I'll leave it to the admins discretion as to whether it should be removed or not. I think it should be removed but you've now requested that it stay.
The final decision is clearly up to you. I know he won't bother me or any one from Hawaii any time soon.
