It sounds like you're keeping your dogs outside. Keep in mind that flies are attracted to food and manure, so removing these food sources will help. Also, try planting basil and mint near where the dogs stay. If their ears are getting bitten, use a layer of petroleum jelly; the flies can't bite through this. Also. a fresh clove of garlic in the dogs' food will prevent flies and fleas from biting, A tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in their drinking water will also repel flies. Finally, for an all-over spray treatrment, mix together 2 cups of vinegar, 1 cup of Avon Skin So Soft, 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of eucalyptus oil, and 1 tablespoon of citronella oil. Spray this on their coats to repel flies. Good luck with your doggies!
