Give to favorite charity that works on elimination of poverty and has established schools.  One that does not give fish but teaches how to fish. I will avoid charities with high admin expenses.

Will travel and help those that need immediate help by providing fresh water and electricity/solar and basic housing.

An act of kindness is not practiced only during the AOK WEEK.  This is an attribute that should be a part of your being. Kindness, politeness, generosity, ethics, honesty etc should be part of one's being. It is better that AOK WEEK reminds you of this great attribute.  And keep in mind, BEING KIND IS NOT BEING STUPID EITHER.

you are the driver of your life so don't let her take that role away.  You do what is right for you because her thinking age is different and she will only realize that by making her own mistakes. So continue doing what is right for you.  Hear her out but not necessarily follow her. By doing so you are respecting her views.

to cut down oncable bill, revisit the channels to have and remove those you don't need. Ifyou are not watching much tv, get a dish with one time expense and it will pay for itself. Rabbit ears are a thing of the past.
