I see it as a caricature, which tend to be unflattering. Seeing the photo added to Julie's answer clarifies the clothing in the cartoon.
If you want to see racism, by golly, you'll see it. I don't.
I like the "Mayhem" commercials, an ad campaign for Allstate Insurance.
One night, Mom, sister and I were visiting her friend and her 6 children. Dad was home and her husband was probably out at a bar. We all lived outside town, amid vineyards and orchards. Their home was 600 sq. ft. at most, very crowded for a big family (with another baby on the way. Oldest child was 9 at the time).
While the women visited, we watched the B/W television, which was broadcasting "Dracula". When we left, there was a full moon, and we were "in the middle of nowhere" geography-wise. Untold evil was obviously lurking in every shadow, the barn, behind trees, among vines....
I couldn't get into the car and lock the door fast enough. The evening still haunts me, remembering the fear that movie put in me. Mom's friend later died in the delivery room...I later learned she'd told my mom she'd rather be dead than take her newborn home to that tiny shack, another memory from that night.
R. I. P. Mr. Reynolds. You'll be fondly remembered.
Even the challenges and fails are blessings. I want for nothing, needs are met, opportunities abundant. Life is good.
Our neighbors had rabbits. My sister and I snuck a couple out of their hutch, took them home, and hid them in the "side yard". Mom called for us, and I answered the call, returning to our hiding place (big bush) to tell Sis the neighbors noticed the missing rabbits and were going to call the police. Mom said they were going to call in an hour. We managed to get the rabbits back without being seen by anyone.
LOL
Wait, what about the climate change business....nothing to do with cooler anything, right?
I'll be getting the rooftop unit cleaned and checked out pronto. With all the forest fires this area endured this summer, the thing is probably thick with ash residue!
Luggage is screened electronically. IF there is something that needs closer inspection, the bag is opened. Locks are only broken if they can't be easily opened. Combination locks have a master key and so do TSA locks. There's no big ring of keys through which to muddle. Safe Skies and Travel Sentry will replace locks broken by TSA at no charge.
I'll have mixed memories....Sarah Palin for his VP, his sabotage vote against repealing Obamacare, and I think he was true to himself.
I don't believe at any point in my life there has been an instance where I saw an animal do something and thought, "Yeah, THAT'S what I should be doing, too, just like that!"
