Is there such a thing as a Christian Nation?

Sadly this theme seems to have disappeared from the web site. So I present a revised question for Colleen who I think has asked a serious Question.

First may I say that in the present scheme of things no mans/woman's opinion really counts for much even if they have great learning, unless that opinion is subject to that of their maker and rightful sovereign ruler of the universe. The bible clearly shows that the Most High clearly regards human governments as beastly in spite of the intentions good or otherwise of its politicians. Theirs is an office which will corrupt sooner or later even as the Most High predicted centuries ago through his faithful prophets and his Son.

One way or another every nation on this earth was conceived in violence and will end in violence. Pick up any newspaper and what do you read? Violence! War! Tyranny!
Immorality! Do these sound to you like Christian virtues? Collateral damage? is that a Christian virtue. Was the American Civil was a virtue? You are bound to answer as I do with a resounding NO!

No I have toured America extensively particularly its National Parks. My wife and I stood on top of the World Trade Center about a year before 9/11. We were in awe with the beauty of Gods creations on the one hand and deeply saddened by the great wealth which is carefully stored and guarded from the poor and the sick even in your own country and often wasted. Both as a professional traveler and as a tourist I have probably see more of America that most Americans and I know the symbols of their gods
One is a big battle flag depicting the rays of the Sun and the stars. The other looks like this $

Having said that my own country Britain did it first.
But the Good news is that millions of American are becoming serious students of the Bible and preparing themselves and their families for the transition from Democracy which is failing to Theocracy rule by Gods son.

You are warmly invited consider these facts with like minded people in your local Kingdom Hall. The instruction and study aids are provided free of charge and no collection plate will be waived under your nose at any time. You will at all times be treated with respect and courtesy.

    Warm regards.

This will put the cat among the pigeons.

(Exodus 21:2-6) . . .“In case you should buy a Hebrew slave, he will be a slave six years, but in the seventh he will go out as one set free without charge. 3 If he should come in by himself, by himself he will go out. If he is the owner of a wife, then his wife must go out with him. 4 If his master should give him a wife and she does bear him sons or daughters, the wife and her children will become her master’s and he will go out by himself. 5 But if the slave should insistently say, ‘I really love my master, my wife and my sons; I do not want to go out as one set free,’ 6 then his master must bring him near to the [true] God and must bring him up against the door or the doorpost; and his master must pierce his ear through with an awl, and he must be his slave to time indefinite.

This was how men without means were able to survive the harsh conditions of wilderness of the Sinai Peninsular. But it was not the brutal slavery practiced by American white supremacists or the British
colonialists. It was more like serving an apprenticeship.

??????????? You sure you mentioned the right name?

"Was the American Civil was a virtue?"

I believe you meant war and do you have any idea why it was fought? Then again, the bible backed slavery so you probably wouldn't understand.

The USA was founed on Christian values and the Bible , but no loger now we are a nation of many faiths.

Many claim to be a "christian" nation, and her leaders are swearing by the Bible.

Bestway,   Not too long ago, a fellow Jehovah Witness of yours had attempted to proselytize on this site. He didn't last very long because I believe he was eventually banned,or as you would put it, "persecuted". I hope that this will not reoccur because I believe that all views and ideas deserve to be exposed and aired for their merit or lack of.

That being said, let me tell you from the outset that I am an avowed full-time agnostic who occasionally moonlights as an atheist. Now that we both know where we're coming from, I need to know your personal view on a very specific issue. There are many to choose from, but I will revert to the very same question that I had addressed to your fellow persecuted colleague who either never bothered to reply, or, in all fairness, replied before I had the opportunity to read his response, since it was erased from this site.

My question is:  If your very own child was seriously ill and necessitated a blood transfusion as the only means of saving his life, as advised by ALL AVAILABLE expert medical opinion, would you agree to have the transfusion performed?

Any nation devoid of the Divine Reason found in God alone:  LOVE the SON and PEACE the FATHER, this is God in any language or tradition.  Let them hear it who can.
