I'm not sure what your medical history is but, one can have nerve damage that can cause a pain or sensation in another area/part of body. For EX., I had lung surgery thereafter when, I scratch my RT. chest, I can feel the scratching in my back. Then there is TRANSFERRANCE pain/sensation , where your having the pain/sensation orginate in one area but, feel it another.

Correctomundo Dad. I have a one ducted pancreas and the pain spreads to my upper left chest around the heart. Not pleasant, especially when you think you're having a heart attack.
I would tend to fear that it's the other way around.....that there's something wrong with your breast that's causing upper back pain. Cardiac pain usaully starts on your left side and can present itself in your L arm, or jaw or shoulders, or even both upper arms. And I suppose the pain could radiate to your breast
I don't want to scare you , but i read one account of a woman who had breast cancer adn she didn't know it...and her upper back kept hurting till she finally got a diagnosis
