4 months ago I bought a new car and got a good deal, now the transmission went, the dealership offered to put a new one in or said I can trade in. They want to base the trade in on what I am financing not the value of the car..don't they have to go by the value now?

It was $15,804 cash price and I got a deal so $4,000 was taken off w/the deal. final price $9,864 financed.

They can go by what you financed it for. Why not just accept the new tranny? Why are you trying to illicit an even better deal than the one they already gave you?
