    Pay for it, you can keep coverage for 1 year after separation from employment.
    They are required by law to inform you about Cobra, I believe in Fl anyway. You can pay to keep your insurance through cobra, do a search, it may be more expensive than finding your own company though.
    I my state it would be the first of the next month after you leave. Employers pay by the month and it would be paid through the end of the month in which you quit your job, but the first day of the next month will leave you uninsured.
