    if you have a documented small claims case can it be dismissed in a bankrupcy

    i have a small claims judgement in my favor, now the defendant is going to file for bankruptcy. are they still liably to pay me?

    I may wrong but, I learned in law studies the answer would be "NO" I know of no court abandoning another court order as long as the as been so ordered and filed by the original court.
    Yes, but maybe at a percentage decided by a bankrupcy hearing.
