Nope. I have found you do not have to boil them first and it actually makes for a firmer lasagna. Just be sure to cover them completely with sauce as you layer. They will absorb the liquid from the sauce and soften and cook while you are baking the lasagne. But again make sure all the edges are covered with sufficient sauce!
