    I have a 1979 J20 jeep pickup. is it suppose to be posse track on rear end? Dash light says emergence drive.

    just rebuilt motor trans ect. never owned a 4wheel before. hate to break it

      If both rear tires throw dirt or burns off it's posse traction, if only one tire throws dirt or burns off it's not.

        the emergency drive light comes on when the you switch the vaccume switch in the glove box to lock the transfercase into 4wd. The vaccume switch overides the clutch in the transfercase and makes it true 4wd. you can only use this off road. you will tear up your transfercase if you use it on pavement.
