No, it was the Village people. They were all wearing fake wings.

You can still believe in Santa Clause. He's as real as the angles singing man made hymns :)

    You're too much Col!

By the way, I thought that Santa WAS one of the Village People...man I need better beer!

Drink enough better beer and Santa WILL be one of the Village People, LOL
    Yes. They did!

One of the first lines of Scripture that I ever had to memorize was the verse you quoted. I was 4 or 5 years old; at the time. it was the line given me for a play at church, and the only line I had during the whole play. I still did not know who Jesus was. it wasn't until I was 7 that I actually understood who He was and the sacrifice he had made. Rather, the importance of His diety.

But, yes, the heavenly angels did say these words in praise. They were speaking to the shepherds who had no idea what had just happened in the world. As they were there, the angel came upon them and brought them this news. The other angels pretty much backed him up on the joyous occasion, that a child had been born in the city. That child would bring peace to all men. He was the Son of God.

PS: They were praising the glory of this occasion. Scripture does not state they sung at all. unless you view praise as a form of song; then, it's possible.

No, I am not a Roman Catholic. I am simply a brother in Christ to those who are Christians. Thanks for the question.
I’m proud of you sister Ginger. I couldn’t have said it better. The purpose of the question was to encourage us to look carefully at what the Scriptures say. Often people say the shepherds and wise men were in the stable together, there were three wise men, Eve ate and apple etc. - which the Bible does not say. PS Are you a sister in the Catholic Church or simply a sister-in-Christ?

Do I take it from that you are a Catholic, norm?
Luke 2:13-14 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,
    • "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor rests."
    • Thayer’s dictionary gives a long definition for saying, but says nothing about singing
