While there is a first draft script for the 5th installment in the Pirates of the Caribbean movie franchise, there are no plans to begin pre-production on it until box office stats for the 4th movie are released. Johnny Depp said he's willing to reprise his role if the script is good and he likes the director (the first three movies were directed by Gore Verbinski, and the 4th by Rob Marshall).
