No, you need to turn it into the police. Try not to get too many of your own finger prints on it. If you're a child, make sure you give it to your parents and have them call the police for you. I'm glad to see you've at least asked about the right thing to do with it. :)

Colleen is correct hand it in. Could be one used to commit a crime, stolen and in addition in Australia you can be charged with "Theft by finding" We dont have fields we have paddocks or blocks. Threw that in for good measure and in the interests of education. Hee Hee
