    why does my central heating come on when i switch hot water only on?

    I have a Potterton Profile 40e boiler and the hot water switch seems to turn on the central heating as well when all I want is hot water.

      Becauase the central heating and hot water switch is on, Just switch it to hot water only. Or turn room thermostat down to 10c.
