Think about this: Do you think you had a choice to EXIST in this world, to be BORN?

What if some of us never wanted to born, what if we never wanted to exist, we never wanted to be born to follow god, to be in heaven, to bow to our creator, what if we never wanted to be created. do we have a choice in anything?
Define me REAL freedom, not the type of 'free will' kind of freedom.

This is a very interesting question that I will give thoughtto before posting an answer. In the meantime, it is the only way I know of contacting you since your message to me came as a comment, already commented on. Would you please return to TSC's repentance question. I would be interested to know if you have a view on my reply to him. Thank you, and apoligies to those reading this question with a view to answering it.

I didn't have a choice that I can remember, now I'm stuck here and have to make the best of it.

My mom had 3 miscarriages maybe they were given the choice by God and decided not to come down to earth I don't know. I've had such a difficult life, I'm surprised if I did have a choice that I would have chosen to come here.

Aborted babies don't get a choice. Think about that...my point being that the parent or parents make that choice for the baby. So the baby has no choice.
    doublehelix

what you don't get is this. if your a religious person as in right now you believe in god right?, so why do you worry about aborted babies, they are the luckiest, they are born and dead few months later only to go to heaven later on. so don't worry about aborted babies, i'm on a different subject here. which you have answered correct, we don't have a choice in being created. here i'm talking about your existence in the world. you know how we always talk about the afterlife and eternity in the heaven or hell realm forever, what if you never want to exist in any of them, what if your a good person who hasn't sinned badly or would in the future, where you don't want to exist as ANYTHING. every atom that makes up your whole existence to just vanish into thin air. where you neither want heaven nor hell, nor god, anything at all. where you just want to be nothing. that would not be possible right? because ever since you were born you were given only two choices, be good for heaven, be bad for hell. why don't we have any other choice, this is the kind of freedom i'm talking about. we are stuck, trapped in on earth with no REAL freedom.
We dont have a choice to entering this world, but we can prematurely exit it if we want to.
    doublehelix

yeh. lmao. sucide. i know. But what happens to the fears that were embedded in you ever since you were born, can you just wipe them out, the fear of going to hell for suiciding, when the whole world thinks so. why was i born, to kill myself only. what would happen to me never wanting to exist, because as soon as you enter this world it's either heaven or hell is awaiting you after you leave it. what happens when you never wanted to EXIST. When you never wanted to a part of this whole world. To not be even a particle inside it. to not be created .
    Jennn

You could become an athiest that might solve the dilema. Or a hermit and just be alone out in nature with no people to f@#* up your head.
I think you're right though, as long as you are alive on Earth you will have to deal with the constant pushing and pulling of good vs. evil I guess the choice you get is to choose a side and get behind it. Otherwise you always feel sort of lost and confused and pointless.
    doublehelix

'choose a side and get behind it' it's what i've done my whole life Jenn, right now i'm deciding why i have done what i did and what is my goal by doing so. i'm considering the possibility of another choice, a choice which will neither turn me bad no otherwise. a choice for making me non-existent. and the answer is impossible, you have to exist as something. you always exist as something no matter what.
no we didn't have a choice to be born, our parents did though! we were predistined before time began. that certainly dosen't violate our right of freewill or choice!what about those who had no choice(aborted), they call it pro choice, nonsence they had no choice. but we do,have the ability to make decions good or bad, any one can kill themselves it takes a bigger man to live, thats real freedom!
    doublehelix

Predestined. you mean your fate and what you would decide was already written before time? if that is true, which it is, then what does free will have anything to do with it. you have no free will if your life has already been decided. this is the confusing part :S i try to think about it but sometimes it makes sense sometimes i reach the same end,
    daren1

predistined only by god does not interfare with freewill
Anything is possible. No one knows anything. They pretend they do, but they only tell you from what they have read. So what about the writer? He/she is only a man or woman, the same as you.
    doublehelix

could you please explain further ? :) I kind of get what your saying but at the same time i don't........
God spiritually formed us to be one big happy, loving family. Unfortunately, we decided to venture out on our own, and got kidnapped, and we ended up on this protective part of physical hell called earth, where everything is distorted and we cannot find our way back home on our own. God is doing everything WITHIN His power to bring us back into His loving family.

To answer your question, no, you didn't have a choice to be born, but you have free will to live again with the big, happy family forever. Just ask Jesus to save you from yourself.
God gives everyone a choice. He gives those who choose Him the best in this life and for all Eternity. I'd say that is good enough reason to be born.
    doublehelix

he does give a you a choice of two options. like what i discussed above. but what if you never wanted to exist in either options. to be absolute nothing, like you were never born. it seems not possible i know.
    :)
    monkey11

Sorry...guess it just takes faith. Faith to believe that God knows what He is doing and He does all things well.
    doublehelix

lol. again your not thinking of the real question, i'm not here to discuss faith and belief in god. i do have belief and faith and i do trust him, but read the original question, thank :)
    monkey11

Okay...no we did not have a choice to be born or to exist.
None of us had a choice, but were here so make the best of it.
i was just talking to my husband about that ... well, some of what you asked. he said he thought we were made for each other. i believe every person we come across in our life is important for some reason. that would include the invisible people whose paths we cross on the akaqa board.
I think so, but you do have one small freedom in the choices you make, back to the free will thing. You also have the power over your mind on how to view things in a positive perspective or a negative one.

    doublehelix

I'm neutral, i neither think negatively neither do i become too positive. i like viewing at stuff through every perspective. that's why challenging questions always come in my mind. anyways , appreciate your time for answering. :)
    leeroy

    Thanks bro, you too.
If I had the choice I dont remember it. I think if I had the choice I would have wanted to be born and try this out. I have had a great life and when it is over I will go back to God and be with Him for ever. Now tat i good to look forward to.
lol, no need to answer this question anymore, already can figure out where this is going or how your answers will be like from what i read above. thank you
    peace :)
See, this is what i'm trying to discuss here "we were made for each other" again let me repeat the word "made", so where is your freedom? i can understand your point of view of life in general. how something small could affect someone's life so much, all those invisible connections that we all hold to each other, to everything, from pets to elderly to your love to your husband. i'm talking about leaving that whole picture of perfect connections for every creature (us), leave that picture and start looking at it in depth from a whole new perception. Can't you see that your life is being controlled by god, by the creator, i know everything is for a reason but i just can't see what freedom really is if it's controlled by the invisible puppet maker/mover (God).

Lets go back to the original question: what if we never wanted to exist, to be born, to live, to love god. what if we never wanted to exist. how do you explain that in terms of freedom that god provided us with?
I mean that no one knows whether he or she has a choice. People or gurus spout all kinds of so called spiritual knowledge, but they are people too. They don't really know anymore than we, you or I,do. The gurus or teachers read a lot of books and only teach what they have learned. But they still do not know the real truth.

My spiritual motto is: no one knows more than I do and I know no more than anyone else.
    doublehelix

what your saying is also true eggplant, the person (president) giving the speech knows no more than i do about life, hell maybe i know more than him ;)
    thanks for your input :)
extra credit for a double answer?
O.k. I follow you, I agree that the aborted fetus has it made, going straight to heaven. And the laws of physics states that our energy transforms, but still exists, and we don't have a choice.

I wouldn't say that nothingness is true freedom or even possible, your right about that. How would your conscience even know that it had achieved nothingness? So the next question may be predestination?

Yes we are stuck here and whether you believe in God or the devil or not, there is still the consequences of the effect of truth. Correct?
anybody new want to answer this, share your thoughts please :)
    I'm feeling 'happy' right now :) :) :()
Thanks to everyone who actually thought about this and gave answers :)
be nice if someone knew the meaning of true existence :(
going to sleep, someone told me that dreams sometimes answer your questions ...
    lol :)
Thanks everyone for the responses :)
YEah, so in the end, once you exist , you'll always exist. always exist as something. never ending existence. and you have no freedom of choice to not exist. see, no freedom of choice. it's already written down in one huge book. what happens when a child wakes up one day to tell his dad he doesn't want to exist. what do you tell him, do you tell him to go kill himself, why should he, he never wanted to be created. why should he go through pain of killing himself, or the pain of facing god in the afterlife/hell. are we forced to face two eternities.
I just become really confused sometimes :S about life, god, power , human and the whole world in general. especially supreme human happiness, divine quest, freedom and how it is viewed differently through out every religion .
well your question generated a lot of answers, which probably means you are not the only one thinking about the issue of life and choice. You may not be satisfied with any of these answers. Personally I don't think God ever bothered asking every single one of us whether we wanted to come to this life or not. But God is not the only one doing so, many other people also impose their choices on us. Well, so what, at the end of the day you have a life ahead of you, like it or not, and if your question, or answer to your question does not get you any where, then leave it and get on with your life..
    doublehelix

    thank you optimistic :)
it's true well, anyway, life is life and we'll do our best. wether we wanted to exist or we didn't want to, i guess we can't change anything at all. let time decide. i'd love to answer differently right now and lead it to more debate, except i'll leave it at that. and debate it to myself later on. But the same question arises in my head every morning, asking me 'what if i never wanted to exist'. 'why do i have to be created and suffer and be tested for something i don't want, for something been embedded in me from when i was born' 0ops again, i'm leading it to more questions, anyways again thanks ;)
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. God is the creater of the would, and God is a sprit.God is the law Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

Thank you donnell for your input :)
the creator, creaded, creaters,to create on earth his will.you had no chores of comming here on earth.the bible said we are his foot stool on earth.so where we walk depenes on his will, if you believe. like a child.thy are innercent of life, just like adam and eve before thay were deceave by satan. i am not saying the bible word, for word but i am speeking from my heart. in the bible it said every time i try to think good evil thoughts are present.or every time i try to do good i do bad.why is this so.by beleiving in God word i want to believe in my farther that he love me and i trust his word.he said he would be like a lamp upon yours, or my feet,we are his foot stud on earth.so if you want to meat someone day by day trying to die to sin.by the walk you touck to get here was God timning wecome .the spirit no the Spirit of God.so do you want to control your walk or do you want to let God do the walking for you.
nothing is the begaining of somthing.you had no will to be born.so soomthing gave you life why?are you born just to die for nothing,i don"t think so.somthing brought you here for somthing to do somthing for him.you didn"t bring nothing, and you can take nothing. which is somthing with you to nothing.do we relly have control of our live if we came from nothing.you can drink water, but you can"t take it with you.bread air but, can"t take it with you...ete.don"t put your trust in things. put your somthing in God that last forever.
I BELEIVE, THAT OUR SPIRIT WAS WITH GOD,BEFORE WE WERE BORN.IN THE BIBLE GOD SAID I NOUE YOU BEFORE YOU WERE BORN.THERE IS NO FAYVER ,IT GO FOR ALL OF US.FOR SOME ONE TO SAY WE ARE JUST AMINAL THAT MAY BE TRUE.THAT LEADS ME TO THINK WHOS REAL THE SPIRIT,OR MAN THE AMIMAL WITH A SOUL ,BODY spirit TO COMUICATE WITH GOD IF HE CHOUSE TO DO SO.I BELEIVE OUT spirit NEVER LEAVES GOD. JUST OUT BODYS.THAT IS WHY I THINK GOD PRAYER FOR US SAIDS ,ON EARTH, AS IT IS IN HELVEN.THIS IS THE RESON I BELIEVE THE SPIRIT OR REAL, AND WE WERE CREATED BY GOD. AND GOD IS SPIRIT.
I THINK THE MEANING OF LIFE IS THE BEGAINNIG OF LIFE TO BE BORN TO DIE.NOW YOU HAVE THE CHORES TO LIVE FOR EVERY OR DIE FOR EVERY.BUT IF YOU WERE NOT BORN YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE CHANCE TO Chouse LIFE OR DEATH.FOR SOOM RESON GOD WANT USE TO EXPERIENCE LIFE ON EARTH BEFORE WE CAN BECOME A FULL SPIRIT MAN.IN ORDER TO LIVE IN WITH HIM.I BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE SAID YOU CAN'T LOOK AT GOD AND LIVE.SO YOU HAVE TO DIE FIRST
it looks like none of you understod the question
    doublehelix

    That's kinda true. :)
