Yes, it is fun, and if you put some time into it very satisfying.  Just do not let it rule your time, and distract you from life responsibilities.  Many good people here in this community!

Having been a faithful contributor for over two years, my answer is a resounding YES!  
Some of my most loved friends are here, as are some of those I most respect.  The rules are a little stiffer than they were at the beginning, but nothing that is totally unreasonable.  It's fun to help others, and I sincerely love so many of these crazy people here (check the "top contributors" for a list).

Yes. We love each other ( mostly ) The regulars are a bunch of nice, kind hearted, intelligent people with a deep spirit .It's good for people that don't any immediate family near, or empty nestors. or people who live out in the country .
