I have a guitar from 1976, made in korea. It has a steel reinforced neck, and has never been used..is it worth anything? It's a G100 series.

I don't know..my ex-husband bought it for me at x-mas. I cannot find any other ID marks on it.

We are a general question and answer forum. There are only volunteers here sharing their general knowledge or google searching. Without a makers name, I do not think I will be able to find a lot of information. I googled G100 but only found American guitars and they were priced at less than $200.00. Look inside the sound whole. There should be a label in there or inside on the neck if the guitar is a quality one. It should give the name of the maker and the model number and registration number. You will need a flashlight to see inside the sound hole and up into the neck.

there's a 141075 no. on it also, so I figure it was mass produced for retail.

Thanks!! Will try another route in answering this. You've been very helpful and very efficient in answering . have a good night!! BYE

Sorry I couldn't help more. This question remains here forever. Perhaps someone who knows about musical equipment will see it and know which guitar you have.

Hi, Could it be a little concert guitar? Schecter guitars started up a guitar company in S. Korea in 1976 and made several knock-offs for a variety of companies...I found this little G100 'knockoff'...hence no name engraved on it, but it is from an Ibanez design. Unplayed guitars do not usually fair well although I have seen guitars that , after sitting in a dry closet for 30 years, played wonderfully...however it is considered vintage. See here >> http://www.thomann.de/gb/ibanez_g100nt.htm
    RESEARCH here >>> https://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en-GB&tab=gw#hl=en&q=korean+guitar+makers+1976
OR you could talk to Joe >>> http://www.jvguitars.com/viewcateg.pl?cat=Acoustic%20Guitars

If it originated from North Korea, Dick Cheney would consider it a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
