          Well then, that's what makes them disappear. I guess you don't do that very often? I clear mine out daily so they never build up.

          Almost 10,000 UNREAD notifications!?   
          PLEASE, start getting rid of that stuff.  Your computer will burst into flames when the total reaches 10,001.

              You have to click "clear all notifications" for each page of notifications. Click clicking "clear all notifications" until they are all gone.

              I click click right along. I am wondering now if I click on “clear all notifications” Probably. I never get repeats. It doesn’t bother me. I’m just curious.

                mel ~ I did not reply to your comments because I didn’t see them. I don’t know. This problem could have happened a long time ago when I was on vacation. I’m clicking proper now. : ) Soon they’ll be all cleared up.
