Well, you can't STOP him from coming, but you don't have to open your home and be a hotel and room service.
Common Sense tells me to help him book a room at a nice motel/hotel and make plans to meet him at different places for your dates. Perhaps invite him to your home the last night he's in town.
Don't be foolish. If he doesn't like the arrangements, forget it.
