I am guessing that you might want to see if you can take a ferry from the UK to Sweden or Denmark and then drive to a port city on the east of Sweden, from where you could take another ferry to either Turku or Helsinki depending on where in Finland you want to go. I guess it all depends on which way would be the cheapest. It also depends on how much driving you want to do and where in the UK you are leaving from. If biking is what you want to do and you have a lot of time, you could take a ferry to mainland Europe (France, Belgium, Netherlands, or Germany - with Germany probably being the best choice as far as getting you closer to Finland). Then driving either through Denmark and Sweden to take a ferry from Stockholm to Helsinki or Turku or if you are more adventorous risk taker - drive straight through Europe to Estonia and take a ferry from Tallinn to Helsinki or to Rostock to take a ferry to Helsinki.
In the end, it might be best if you can find a ferry from the UK to Göteborg in Sweden, so that you can drive through to Stockholm.
