Check the sticker on the packaging or the CD case for the product key. The product key is prominently displayed on a sticker in either location.

Launch your email application. Navigate to the Microsoft confirmation email for your online purchase of Office, if you purchased Office online. The product key is listed in the content of the email.

Check the Certificate of Authenticity. It will be prominently displayed on the certificate, which is part of the Microsoft Office retail packaging.

Contact Microsoft customer support if you cannot find the product key. Run the Product Activation Wizard to find the support telephone number for your location. Click "Start," then type "slui.exe 4" in the "Search programs and files" box and press "Enter." Choose your location from the drop-down list and a toll free activation support number will appear. Call the number to speak to a Microsoft representative who will assist you by either helping you to find the key or issuing you a new key.
