    what does this mean cunning work

    I would describe the word cunning as someone that is devious, sly or shady.

    Cunning to me means "clever".........

    Artful, craftiness,     sneaky.

    I think in England cunning means more of what JH said but ROMOS or Umbriel could probably say for sure.


    In North America it's connotation is more in line with the answer given by Pythonlover, Lambshank and Dollybird.

    perhaps you got the better of someone or something in an unconventional way
