      nutritionally- not really and it is hard to digest. baby rice cereal is sometimes given to puppys before they eat reg. dog food & was suggested in small portions along with baby foods with meat after my dogs bladder ruptured.

        I have seen it used with some raw diet recipes ... the oatmeal isn't used raw ... come to think of it, that product isn't available any more.
