Most manufacturers recommend you replace the belt at 60K. I have found this to be pure BS. Pull the cover off and look at it. If it's not frayed or shows signs of cracking on the inside of the belt, don't change it. The cost is insane. I recently checked my Toyota belt with 250K and there's nothing wrong with it. Know what your looking at though. If unsure ask someone who does. They get $1200.00 here for the job.
