I read an article from Consumer Reports on Health that stated a health-care reform bill was passed in 2010 that medicare & new private insurance plans are required to cover most types or colorectal cancer screening with no co-payments or deductibles. I have medicare Blue Choice with Excellus in Rochester, NY. Does this apply to me? I am going to schedule a colonoscopy in the near future I was told I would have to pay $100.00 this year or $125.00 if I have it next year.
