The status of the Border Patrol jobs are in a "long term" status if they want the job. I read a piece on Border Patrol agents and the average length of employment with the agency, and it was quite disturbing. It seems the average agent only lasts about 9 months. I don't know how true this is... but still, that's short term.
It may have something to do with threats, as we see most agents are concerned with concealing their identity (names) as not to alert Cartels who may go after their families. It is really something when Americans have to worry about enforcing laws to protect American citizens and be killed by a foreign presence here in America.
Who is actually to blame... our Federal Government (present administration), who gives a standing platform for Caldero`n to criticize Arizona and other States for trying to control illegals. Now even Mexico's ex president Fox, is getting in on this during immigration debates with presidential candidates. Too sick for me.
