Has anyone noticed that thumb sucking, among adults, seems to be more obvious than ever?

Whether on Twitter, or the Net, in cars while driving, or at school, adult thumb suckers are coming out in droves. Do you think this is a good thing, that adults who partake feel more free than ever to expose this aspect of themselves?

I've never in my life seen an adult suck his/her thumb. Where do you live that you feel it's become prevalent? And how do you know someone on twitter or on the 'net is sucking their thumb? Do you see them?
    No, never saw that.
Could they be old like me and in their second childhood?
As a Certified Orofacial Myologist, I am treating many more adult thumb suckers than ever before. My latest is a 47-year-old male who has sucked his thumb all of his life. He has had three sets of braces. His orthodontist sent him to me for treatment of a 'tongue thrust'. She didn't even ask him about his thumb being a possibility for his open bite! He stopped sucking the FIRST DAY! I don't think dentists and orthodontists think that there are adults who still suck thumbs so there are MANY who never get help. If they choose to stop, there is help available. That's what I've done for four decades!
