Apply for a patent right away! As in the process of seeking a grant, someone could take (steal) your idea. A good source in the US for grants of this nature would be the US Dept of Energy. Good luck.

Yeah, the patent process should guide one to their requirements, I just could see fast forward, someone stealing their product idea. Good point to add though. Thanks.
