    is ok to give a achievment award to dementia patients who made excellent effort

    want to give recognition to patients with dementia who have shown big improvements in activies

    I would think that would be a very good idea, to show support and recognition.....

    Of course it OK to give recognition and an achievement award to anyone who makes an effort. However, it is a difficult task to quantify the effort made by a patient suffering from dementia - although having said that whatever they achieve should be recognised, encouraged and awarded.  Encouragement and sthe social intteraction being the key factor here.
