    how long does it take to recieve a death certificate in the mail?

    in order for the bank to releease funds from a will, the must have the death certificate, how long does that take?

      If the death certificate has been filed with the county recorder, you can go directly to the office, pay the fee, and get a certified copy.  Ordering one by mail could take a couple of weeks or more.  Don't expect a government entity to be in any hurry to do something for the public, for whom they work....
