Take up the old grass, get the dirt ready, then lay down squares of sod of the grass of your choice,. You have to water it, weed it, and babysit until it takes root and starts living on it's own. Just fertilize and water when it gets to be time.

I was going to say...'legally...in California'...but then I popped on the specs and saw it said re-sod and not re-sold !! LOL ;D xo
