      I don't think there's much you can do except to keep pleading to her compassionate side. Your brother should have made a will designating all family treasures to be returned to the family.

        Tough one? I know how you feel, when my grandparents died the 9 grandchildren wanted certain things because of their memories attached to the items, not the monetary value, even though most items had other value.

        Possibly speak to an estate lawyer...

          somethings owned by the passing spouse belong to him/her only. they aren't necessarily passed on to the surviving spouse. if she won't give them up, you're out of luck. sorry for both, lose of your brother and for the bitch he married. this should give you a lesson. if you have something you want passed on to a loved one, write a will totally in your own handwriting and name the recipient. make sure she gets nothing.
