    When I have to adjust my target in bowling, I first look at my "spot", then move my eye several feet further down the lane. It helps me get more lift and better follow-through, as well as getting a closer pocket shot.


    Perhaps readjusting YOUR target and/or checking your release point would help.

    Pitching from your knees, although you'll sacrifice velocity, and likely, the ability to field.

    Sometimes, pitchers have the ball hit back at them, they cover another base or back up a base on a throw.

    Practice throwing at tins on a fence..>>>>>>>><<<<<<<..

    Throw lower

    Pitch to taller batters.
