What are the best pets for an OTR trucker to have? Ones that don't shed, don't smell and train tyo cage and small spaces well.

It's cruel to take a pet OTR. That's no life for them. I'm an ex truck driver and I would never put an animal through that. Sorry.

probably right...but it gets lonely...thought a cat or small dog...probably no cage needed except on rare times of repairs.

I know it get's lonely. It takes a special breed to do OTR. You have to like solitude. Make sure you have a CB radio. The chatter helps. Stay away from lot lizards no matter how lonely you get. Get a computer with an air card and get Skype so you can chat (voice) live with family and friends.

Are you really an ex truck driver? I've wanted to be a truck driver for several years but, I can't even parallel park. LoL Seriously though, I should have never been allowed to pass the driving test because this was a requirement back when I took the test.

LOL, it's really not hard to drive them. Just think of them as a really big car ;)

our parakeet liked riding in our car for the 250 miles that it took to get to N. Michigan. It liked it b/c the swaying motion made it feel like it was on a branch on a tree. We didn't leave it alone in the car. We went to the same resturant all the time, and they let us put it--cage and all -- in their office.

The ones with the bobbing heads that you place on the dash.

    hahahah. that's funny :-D

a parakeet . When I was little , a woman missionary came to our church and she traveled around in a converted bus. She had  a parakeet that was a good traveler and would talk. I think she let it out in the bus and in people homes b/c a parakeet will go back to it 's cage when it gets tired, and to eat.
